The Short Version
If you just finished Quicksilver and you’re desperate for more, this one’s for you. Here’s everything about the Fae and Alchemy series: the reading order, the sequel, the final book, and the Netflix movie. Spoilers for Quicksilver only, nothing from book two.
The short version: there are three books planned. Two are out, and the finale is reportedly set for September twenty twenty seven. Netflix has the film rights, but as of now, there’s no cast or release date.
The Reading Order
Book one is Quicksilver. Book two is Brimstone, which came out on November eighteenth, twenty twenty five. Book three is the final book in the trilogy, and it doesn’t have a title yet.
So the order is simple: Quicksilver, then Brimstone, then book three. Read them in that order; each picks up right where the last one ends.
Where Quicksilver Leaves Us
Quick reminder of where book one ends. Saeris is no longer human. She’s half fae and half vampire, and in two days she’ll be crowned queen of the vampire court of Sanasroth, because she killed Malcolm.
Madra and Belikon escaped. Everlayne is alive but asleep. Carrion is secretly the heir to the old fae throne. And Saeris still owes it to herself to find her brother, Hayden, back in Zilvaren.
What To Expect From Brimstone
I won’t spoil Brimstone, but here’s what the setup promises. A vampire queen who isn’t really a vampire. A mating bond she still hasn’t fully accepted, with a story that says one partner always dies.
And two villains who are still out there: Madra, the immortal queen of Zilvaren, and Belikon, the fae king who betrayed his own people. Plus, Saeris told the quicksilver she’d grant it a favor, and Zareth, the god of chaos, has plans for her.
The Final Book
The third and final book has been delayed. Earlier listings said November twenty twenty six, but as of September twenty twenty six, the publisher’s listing shows September seventh, twenty twenty seven, and Callie Hart has confirmed the new date.
It’s reportedly over six hundred pages, and it’s being marketed as the end of Saeris and Fisher’s story. The official title hasn’t been announced yet.
The Netflix Movie
In December twenty twenty four, Netflix bought the film rights to Quicksilver, in a deal reported to be worth seven figures. Callie Hart is an executive producer, along with Elizabeth Cantillon.
As of my last check, there’s no director, no screenwriter and no cast announced. Most coverage calls it a movie, though some outlets weren’t sure whether it would be a film or a series. Don’t expect it any time soon.
Fan Casting
That hasn’t stopped fans from dream casting. The big questions are who can play Fisher, with his tattoos and his silver streaked eye, and who can pull off Saeris’s sarcasm.
Since nothing is official, I’ll leave the casting to you. And remember, this book has a lot of explicit content, so any adaptation will have to make some choices.
Your Turn
Who would you cast as Fisher and Saeris? Tell me in the comments. My review and ending explained are linked below.
